Since September 2018, ebusplan has been supporting the bus operator of the German city of Aachen (ASEAG) in the procurement of new electric buses and the infrastructure required for them. On October 29, 2019, the transport company finally presented its new bus fleet, which includes seven eCitaro electric buses from Mercedes-Benz. Five more are to be delivered in 2020. The procurement was financially supported by the city of Aachen and the federal government.

The seven new buses run without any problems and ensure lower nitrogen and noise pollution in Aachen city center and the surrounding area. It is planned to purchase 15 more electric buses in the fall of 2020.
