The electrification of bus transport in Duisburg is progressing

One bus route to be transformed to electric buses in 2021

The public transport company in the German city of Duisburg (DVG) is planning the complete electrification of bus line 934 by the end of 2021. To this purpose, the company has ordered seven electric articulated buses from the manufacturer EvoBus. The articulated buses will be equipped with ten battery modules and a total capacity of 330 kWh each. This is intended to ensure the targeted range. Following the award of the contract, a delivery period of at least twelve months is now expected. Until then, the installation of the charging infrastructure and the training of drivers and workshop employees will take place.
